I have always seen what lives beneath the surface — and I built this studio so you'd feel seen too.
Not a need. A calling — to see people, and help them feel seen.
Every product exists to help you say what matters, to the people who matter, before it's too late to say it.
The words I needed someone to say.
For as long as I can remember, I understood that there was more beneath the surface.
Even as a child, I noticed what other people couldn't — or wouldn't — see. I knew when someone was hurting. I knew when someone needed protection. I knew when there were words that needed to be said.
I was still very young when I began protecting children who couldn't protect themselves. I cared for a little girl whose father abused her. Every day, I climbed through her window with a clean sheet, swapped it for the soiled one, and took the soiled sheet home to wash — because she was too frightened to stop wetting the bed, and I knew she was being punished for something she couldn't control. The next day I'd bring the clean sheet back and take the one that had gone wet since. Then do it again. Every day.
I knew how much words mattered when I found the words my own mother needed while she was severely depressed, exhausted, and carrying the unbearable pressure of watching her husband's health constantly threaten to collapse.
I spent my life pouring the words I knew people needed and deserved into anyone and everyone I encountered. I wanted people to feel understood, protected, worthy, and loved — even while I was desperately needing those same things myself.
And somewhere beneath all of that was another truth I had understood since I was very young:
I knew I didn't deserve what was happening to me.
My journals are filled with it.
I don't deserve this.
This is wrong.
Please make it stop.
Please let me be safe.
They became the place where I documented everything I couldn't safely say out loud, what I was forced to keep quiet — the pain, the anguish, the wishes, the dreams, the anger, the fear, the pleadings for safety, for rescue, and the life I desperately wished could exist.
There were moments when people did try to protect me. At one point, a couple came into my life and supported me. Their willingness to see me… all of me… it mattered deeply.
But after that, there was a long stretch of being left to survive what I knew was wrong.
I knew what rescue felt like when someone tried.
And I knew what it felt like when no one came.
Then, three years ago, something began to change.
People were placed into my life who didn't just tell me the words I had needed for so long. They showed them to me through consistent affection, protection, safety, and presence.
But my body didn't believe them immediately.
It took nearly two years of hearing those words — and experiencing that consistency — before my mind and body began to believe that maybe they were true.
And about a year ago, I finally began to heal.
That's the reason Thoughts Between Pages Studio exists.
To help people say the things that matter. To give you words when you don't know how to begin. To help you look beneath the surface of the people you love, recognize what they may be carrying, and let them know that you see them.
A greeting card can begin a conversation that has needed to happen for years.
A prompt can open your heart enough to write what you really mean inside.
A journal question can help someone find words they've never known how to explain.
A handwritten letter can make someone feel remembered.
A keepsake can preserve the things that should never disappear.
A story or activity can give two people a reason to sit down together, create something, and connect.
Every part of this studio exists for the same purpose:
To help people see more deeply, love more intentionally, and make sure the people they care about actually know they are seen.
Because sometimes the words someone needs are sitting inside another person's heart, waiting to be found.
Thoughts Between Pages exists to help you put them on the page.
We believe words are a form of care.
There are moments in life when "I'm sorry," "I'm here," or "everything will be okay" simply aren't enough.
Thoughts Between Pages Studio exists to make space for the words that are difficult to find — and to create thoughtful ways for people to say, I see you. I care about you. I'm here. You don't have to go through this alone.
When someone is grieving. Struggling. Healing. Sick. Overwhelmed. Changing. Or simply having a hard day.
And sometimes, the person who wants to show up the most is the person who has absolutely no idea what to say.
When life gets hard, knowing what to say can be almost as difficult as knowing how to help. Thoughts Between Pages Studio creates thoughtful products and experiences that make it easier to express the things that matter — empathy, encouragement, love, understanding and hope.
We don't believe in clichés or forced positivity. We don't believe in forcing silver linings onto painful experiences. We don't believe every difficult moment needs to be fixed, explained, or made positive. We believe in honest words, meaningful connection, and showing up for people exactly where they are.
Sometimes support looks like hope.
Sometimes it looks like honesty.
Sometimes it looks like sitting beside someone in the middle of something hard and simply saying, "I'm still here."
We create words, paper goods, experiences, and little reminders designed to help people communicate with more empathy, intention, honesty, and heart.
Because sometimes the right words don't fix anything. They simply remind someone they don't have to face it alone.
A few things that don't change.

Written first, illustrated second
Every word begins with something I needed to hear.
The words on these products aren't pulled from a trend, written to fill a collection, or chosen because they sound good. They come from a lifetime of knowing what it feels like to need certain words and not have them.
Words of comfort. Words of understanding. Words that could have softened a hurt, mended a distance, or reminded me that I wasn't alone.
The words come first. The imagery follows — not as decoration, but as another way to tell the story those words are holding.

Created from the heart
Every piece begins with something genuine. Words meant to heal a broken heart, soften a difficult moment, mend a little distance, strengthen a relationship, or help someone finally say what they've been carrying inside.
Nothing is created simply to fill a collection. It is created because there is something worth saying.

There is no rush to feel better
Not every hurt needs to be hurried through. Not every story needs a happy ending right away. Some things need time, space, tenderness, and the freedom to simply be felt.
We believe in making room for people to move through life at their own pace — with hope, but without pressure to pretend they're okay before they are.
